DIY Bat Cloches

DIY

This is my first time ever decorating for Halloween!!! This is Dylan’s favorite holiday and I think we’re finally at a point where we can dedicate a bit more time and money to celebrating this funky day.
I have so many things planned to show you and so many halloween DIY’s for this year and so we are starting off a little early with this fun bat cloche idea. If you have a Cameo or a Cricut then this is a super easy DIY!

Things you need —

  • Black construction paper

  • Fishing line

  • Cloches (mine are from IKEA and they’ve been spray painted)

  • Hot glue gun/sticks

  • Either a Cameo or a Cricut cutter (I have the suuuuper old Cameo!)

I started by creating some bat outlines in 2 different sizes and cut them out with the Cameo on black construction paper.

To add them in the cloches, I added a dab of hot glue to the top of the cloche and quickly attached the end of some fishing line.

Then I added a line of hot glue to the back of a bat and strung the fishing line through it so the bat would hang straight (or slightly off center!)

Let everything dry and then place the cloche on the stand!
