DIY Birdfeeder
A new age twist on the old pinecone birdfeeders - these modern birdseed hangings can elevate your garden decor while attracting some of the most beautiful birds.
What you need:
2 packets unflavored gelatin
3 cups birdseed (the finer, the better)
Cotton rope
Wooden beads
Straws
Round cookie cutters
How ya do it:
Mix gelatin according to package directions. Then let it cool slightly, roughly 10 minutes.
Add the birdseed and mix until all of the seed is coated.
Pack the mixture into the cookie cutters, pressing down firmly.
Place a straw in the middle of each circle and leave it there. Let the birdseed dry for several hours or overnight.
Carefully remove the birdseed from the cutters and remove the straw.
String a bead onto the cotton rope and layer the birdseed rings on top. Repeat until desired length.
