2026 is almost here.

Today is the last day of 2025. I’m not one for resolutions or goal-casting. I enjoy just taking the year in as it comes. I can never plan for the things that end up taking place in a whole year. I’m also great at changing my mind on what my “goals” should be so it’s common that I end up quitting a goal in trade for a new one 6 months into the year. So better to not sit down at this time of year and attempt to do so.

But I do enjoy tuning into what my soul seems to be craving and harnessing all of the little things that I dream of embracing more. My soul has always spoke in colors, visions, snippets of small details. This is why Pinterest has always been my favorite niche of the internet. I can speak without words. I can find little things that spark some hard-to-define calling.

So I’ve started a 2026 board; not as a goal-driven or life-defining box but as a way to collect my wants and desires into a visual space. And I know these things may change. But I do feel that over the years, I’ve been tapping in to a closer core of who I am. I’ll leave that deep conversation to another time.

Anyways, here some visual aid into what I’m looking forward to for the next year; 2026.

A few things I’m really into the idea of:

  • Getting chickens - we’ve talked about doing this for a few years now. But it never really felt fully right. I think Dylan (mainly me) is feeling much more ready for this. I’ve started drawing up some coop plans and researching a bit more. Maybe we can get some young chickens around Easter :)

  • Stained glass - I’ve started doing stained glass this month and I am addicted. I have so many fun plans and ideas. Especially wanting to do some stained glass lampshades with Wildwood!

  • Garden Sanctuary - Last fall, I started planting perennial herbs and flowers. Our garden has been a bit of a tumble over the years. I’m not the greatest at tending to needy plants. We’ve had so many dead spots and failing vegetable plants. So I’ve decided to change routes. I’m really into the idea of a “witchy” medicinal, untamed garden. Full of perennials that don’t need too much attention. Things that grow unruly and look beautiful in the chaos.
Along with this, I hope to create more artful decor for the garden that adds to the cottage feeling. I love the idea of mounting cymbals to a stump for rain songs. Creating things with nature for the birds. Those types of things.

  • Home updates - I’ve been getting the itch to paint our rooms. I’m bored of the white walls. I’m leaning towards warm beiges, soft greens, deep maroons, etc.
